Binghamton

Binghamton is a small city with a population of 47,250. In 2014, violent crimes in the city stood at 6.67 per 1,000 residents while property crimes rate was 49.44 per 1,000 people. Total reported crimes scored 56.11 per 1,000 residents, with the probability of falling victim to a gunshot being one in 17.

One worrying trend, however, is the high number of homicides and criminal related shootings that go unresolved. So many criminals are still walking comfortably on the streets to retaliate against residents and keep committing crimes. But, the city’s police department has also made quite considerable arrests in the past years.
