Higher Prices

Like going out for a nightcap after work? Well, you better pick the right bar because your drink will cost more than an entire case of beer at a liquor store in other areas of the country. If you like dining out, drinking, or going to live shows, this is the city to do all of these things. But, remember, with the big city also comes the highest price tags. You can expect most things to cost considerably more than you are accustomed to.

Although many people want to live in New York City, not everyone is prepared for the differences or lifestyle changes associated with moving there. You may find it to be quite different than expected, and probably significantly more different than what we see on television. Make sure you are ready for tight spaces, high fashion, big city life, and yes, the extremely high cost of living, if you want to move to NYC.
