10 Tips for Repairing Credit After Bankruptcy

Check Your Report

Even though you have filed bankruptcy, there may still be errors on your credit report. For example, the reporting agency might have listed that you filed Chapter 7, when in fact you filed chapter 13. This, and other huge errors, can hurt your score further.

It is important that you make sure accounts included in the bankruptcy are noted as such on your credit report. If you find errors, it’s also important to report them immediately. The sooner they are corrected or removed, the sooner you will see your score increase a bit.
